Code of Conduct
A shared set of
quiet expectations.
Discipline at Little Flower School is not enforcement — it is a shared culture of respect. These rules keep our common life gentle, orderly and dignified.
- Students shall maintain a high standard of good manners and general behavior.
- They should be polite and well-behaved within and outside the school premises, and nurture respect for elders and teachers, honesty and truthfulness at all times.
- Students are exhorted to be orderly, clean in person and mind, neatly dressed and cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness of the school, classroom and campus.
- Absolute silence must be observed during the general assembly and while moving to and inside the classroom, even in the absence of teachers.
- In the absence of a teacher the Class Monitor assumes responsibility for order and discipline — a duty to be fulfilled loyally and impartially.
- Students given a responsibility should undertake it dutifully in accordance with the direction of the Principal or the teacher deputed by him.
- Students must not walk about on the verandah or in front of the classrooms during class hours.
- Students should not write, carve or scratch on the school walls or deface the school furniture.
- Respect for one's property, school property and that of others is a mark of a responsible student. Damage to school property will be recovered from the student.
- Students should always speak in English within the school premises and maintain a high standard of conversation.
- All students must keep a copy of the School Handbook and bring it daily to school.
- Each student is responsible for his/her own belongings. The school will not be responsible for the loss of books, money or other articles.
- Books, comics, newspapers and items not pertaining to daily work and not approved by the Principal must not be brought to school.
- Lost articles found in the school premises should be handed over in the school office.
- Students must not throw waste paper or foodstuff in classrooms, verandahs or premises — waste boxes must be used.
- Students are not allowed to enter the staff room unless asked by a teacher.
- Students will not be allowed to leave the school premises during school hours on any account.
- Latecomers and absentees will not be admitted to class without the sanction of the Principal.
- No collection of money or other things shall be made in the school without the permission of the Principal.
- No student shall take private tuition in any subject from any of the school staff.
